Saved by the Wasmuth's

I'm thankful for good samaritans.
Today I took Bella with me in the car to return a redbox movie. My car broke down on Military Rd when I turned out of the Walgreens parking lot . I'm so happy that I made it across the road to the Mizer's parking lot. So my car wasn't in the middle of the road.  There I tried to see if I turned off my car and restarted it what would happen.  I looked up the warning light in the operators manual to see what it said - and I believe a drive belt is broken or the power steering. So there I sat in my car - cell phone not charged and too hot to sit in the car and wait for it to charge.  There I had Bella with me with no leash -  what to do.  The rental car place is closed today.  The garage is closed today.  So I prayed for help.  I went to Mizers for some kind of rope to use as a leash and a bottle of water for me and one for Bella for the long walk home.  Its a beautiful hot day. A lttle too hot for walking several miles with a dog.  I decided to walk thru Crossgates to Turtle Creek towards home so I didn't have to walk on the busy road. Several water stops later - for a hot Bella.  We walked to the Dohms house but no one was home.  Then what to do.  I'd heard that there is a back path behind the subdivision that goes through to Quail Ridge...  So I walked to the end of  Hampshire Dr - there was a couple outside doing yard work.  I stopped to ask them about the entrance to the path - they said it was heavily wooded.  I told them about my situation and they gave me and Bella a ride home.  So sweet - to have some good people help me out.

Thank You Kent & Jessie Wasmuth.  I really appreciate your help.

Now to figure out how to get my car fixed , get to my dental appointment Monday morning and get a rental car.

A Closet this year; door knobs last year.
Such simple ordinary things that say 'I care' & 'I Love You'.

Thank you for these beautiful gifts - Uncle Jim & Aunt Larraine & Mom &  Dad Grigor.

The whole time we've lived at 102 Palm Swift Dr.  Most of my clothes have been in boxes with a few hung in the closet upstairs.  This February when we had family visiting  I was given the beautiful gift of a closet shelf/rod in my room to hang my clothes. Such an ordinary object that fills my heart with gratitude.  I wish I had the skills to do these things for myself.  But it feels so good to know you care and gave a beautiful gift that says so much to me.  Its like a big hug that says 'everything will be all right'.  Its so nice to have you come and visit - even though things aren't organized and tidy, and I don't have lots of time with you.  The bit of time you are hear touches my heart.  I want to say Thank You for being so thoughtful and kind.

Last year it was the gift of door knobs on all the interior doors.  So nice to be able to close the door and have it latch closed.  A beautiful gift from family who care and reach out to fill a need that means so much.

Who knew that door knobs and a closet shelf could say so much from the heart.
